FROM THE EAST
It's hard to believe that it is now November and we are nearing the end of the year with the several lodge activities that are listed in this edition of the Trestle Board. As we are wrapping up the year, I would like to thank all the officers and members of Sugar Creek Lodge for their support during this past year.
We have had good attendance at our meetings and the officers have all done an outstanding job setting the example of freemasonary throughout the community.
There are a couple of items I would like to inform you of and/or remind you of as the end of the year approaches.
1. 2018 Dues Statements
The 2018 Dues Statements will be appearing in your mailboxes very soon. This means there will be a resulting increase in the workload of our Secretary. You can help by making payment before the due date of January 1st. This will help him by not having to follow up with letters, emails, and phone calls to remind us that our dues are late.
Also, This year there will be a new 200th Anniversary Membership Card to recognize the 200th anniversary of masonry in the state of Indiana.
2. New Patriot Database System
This year the new Patriot database system is in effect. Any member may create and log into their personal Member Portal. First create your account by typing in the address bar of their browser members.indianafreemasons.com and follow the instructions. Remember that when creating your account the username and password are case sensitive. There are generally three reasons a person cannot log in: we do not have the correct preferred email addressing the current Grand Lodge database, the member name is misspelled or the date of birth is incorrect Please do not call the Grand Lodge Office with these issues; send your question or concern to firstname.lastname@example.org and they can resolve any issue.
Thanks for allowing me to serve as your Worshipful Master during 2017.
Bob Esarey WM.
FROM THE WEST
Greetings from the West. It is hard to believe that the year is almost over and a new one is about to start. Worshipful Master Bob Esarey has had a very successful year with him receiving his 50 year Past Masters Award, also Brother Bill Johnson received the Masonic Service to Free Masonary Award.
I would like to thank Worshipful Master Bob Esarey for keeping the brethren informed with his
email listings, and all the help he has given me this year.
The Widows and Orphans Dinner is on November 11th at 12 noon with your help needed.
Breakfast with Santa is on December 9th at 8:00 PM, also with help needed. Thank you.
Mearl C. May,
Greetings from the East
Fairland Chapter #359 OES
I know that most are saying where has this year gone. Here it is November and the months seem to have flown by. I want to say Thank You to everyone that worked, donated or came to eat at the Annual Chicken Noodle dinner in October, it was a huge success.
November is going to be a very busy month, the deputy visit was the 7th, practice from inspection on the 16th and Inspection at Fairland with Greenwood and Flat Rock is November 30th at 7:00 PM. At the December 5th meeting, we will celebrate Christmas.
I look forward to seeing each and every member who is able to make the meetings. The chapter will be dark in January and February but the new year will bring lots of new things.
Please come and enjoy our meetings.
Star Love to all, remember to give thanks each day for the many blessings you receive. Pray for strength during he hard times and know that you are very, very special.
Doris Bedell, Worthy Matron
